I waitressed at The Wharf in Vallejo. An exclusive fish house for 2 years. Then I provided child care from my home for 13 years while I was raising my three children and transporting them to sporting events throughout their school years.I started out at Costco in 1996, as a front end assistant seasonally. If the employee does a good job they will be called back after the beginning of the new year as a rehire and a chance to become a permanent employee. I was called when I worked at Rite Aid as I had gone to Costco daily to sign their book showing I was interested in their company for future employment. Two managers called me one was the manager of the floor a stocking position and the other one was a front end manager. I became a front end employee. I was thrilled to be called and loved my job. It was energetic and physical and I loved how busy it stayed most every day. Time flew by. I eventually got laid off with eveyone else and was the first one called back when business picked up after the new year. When I returned I had to go into the food court till business picked up on the front end. There I learned to operate all of the food prep machines for pizza and hot dogs and pretzels as well as learn the whole new experience of fast quality food. I was the first one out of the food court and back to my home my love the front end where all of the action took place. I worked hard and took on a lot of extra shifts as I lived nearby and could fill in at the drop of a hat. I eventually became a cashier, which holds a lot of responsibility. Large amounts of money change hands at Costco. I became known for my accuracy in handling money throughout the day and had my favorite customers that always came through my register that I enjoyed seeing on a regular basis. I also had the pleasure of working in the bakery over the holiday seasons. Preparing pumpkin pie bagging rolls making boxes for the pies and icing the cinnamon rolls. I enjoyed the variety my job entailed and was eager to learn new tasks. The fact that we were providing Chico families with quality foods for their holiday dinner gave me great pride that I could be a part of that crew. I went back to my cashier job after the holiday and back to my cashiering position when I saw there was an opening in One Hr Photo. So I signed up for that position and interviewed and was thrilled that I was chosen to be the new One Hr Photo Employee. I worked there for several more years then decided to take some time off. I have been off of work for 11 years and since all of my grandkids have moved away I decided it would be a good time to get back into the work force. I am hoping to get the opportunity to meet with you and discuss how I could be an asset to your company. I look forward to a new experience and to learning things in a new field. Please consider me for any future openings.
