  • I started working for Ramflas Roofing Services in January 2017 as roofer. By May 2018 I was a supervisor of a roofing crew.
  • I was also on site with the owner of Ramflas Roofing Services working in both residential and commercial projects to perform a variety of roof classifications. As well as helping on estimating and project managing activities.
  • In September 2017 due to the damages caused by hurricane season here in FL the roofing industry had great opportunity. I was part of a roofing crew on the installation of residential asphalt shingles making sure there were installed as per FL building code such as, replacing any damaged wood sheeting, re-nailing the deck at a minimum of 4” oc spacing, waterproofing the deck with synthetic underlayment by installing it as per manufacturers specifications.
  • Making sure all roof penetrations like lead boot pipes, goosenecks, skylights etc., are properly sealed to prevent water intrusion. Installing insulation as per manufacturer's specifications particularly in low slope roofs to correct the drainage level and insulate the property at the same time. Then, install the applicable base sheet and follow with the applicable and selected modified bitumen cap sheet and attachment method which were on most cases self-adherent systems or cold process.
  • Supervised the installation of tile roofs on where the self-adherent underlayment was applied direct to the deck followed by battens and then attach the tile foam and two screws for tile. On the first 3 rows and 1 screw on field tiles.
  • Make sure crew is safe according to OSHA safety standards. Ladder has to be safely extended and must be at a minimum of 3 ft above roof access and secured to the roof. Crew members have to wear safety harnesses and tie ropes when conducting roof installations as well as eye and head protection. They have to dress properly by wearing safe work clothes, gloves and shoes/boots. Keep all equipment in safe working conditions. All power tools need to be tested before use and defective ones are not allowed to use.
  • I've had to work on job materials estimating and ordering, making sure of delivery dated are as expected and schedule roof installation and furthermore coordinate the corresponding and required city and/or county inspections.
  • Coordinated timely supply deliveries to keep crews working efficiently.
  • Observed workers and quickly identified problems, implementing corrective actions to eliminate work errors.
  • Trained new laborers in crew procedures and specific work.
