For the majority or my time in the military I held the position of team leader. As a team leader I was responsible for training and mentoring four junior Marines at a time, and lead a total of 3 different teams. For a period of approximately two months I held the position of platoon sergeant, commanding the Headquarters platoon of 2nd Battalion 2nd Division. I assisted in the planing and preparation for our deployment to Afghanistan. During this time I was responsible for every aspect of maintaining and preparing a platoon of combat troops, as well as maintain millions of dollars of government equipment.
