I feel I am a Dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic with extensive EMS and fire suppression experience. Other training involves; Hazardous Materials, Disaster Management and NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700 and 800. I am also a certified Fire Safety Inspector, Ice Rescue Technician and a CPR/First Aid instructor. I also have completed the Incident Safety Officer course through the Ohio Fire Academy. I am in my 19th year in the fire service, and in my 12th year as fully certified Paramedic. As a Seasoned Firefighter/Paramedic and as a Lieutenant, I have become accustomed to leading effective teams by example. Doing so by being Highly cooperative, decisive and physically active.

In this position I work 24 hour shifts and provide Advanced Life Support, Fire suppression, Hazardous Materials response and Incident command functions as needed in Springfield Township and Lucas County. Currently I am assigned to Station 53 and am the officer in charge on B Shift. I act as the direct supervisor of between 4 and 10 people depending on staffing. I am responsible for entering Fire and EMS reports in the computer system. I have normal station duties to perform as well as Fire education and Prevention programs. I am the Outreach Coordinator for the department, I schedule and teach CPR and First aid classes. I also complete regular training with Springfield Twp and Lucas County EMS.
