Held multiple management positions and developed skills in sales, teamwork, and leadership. Gained experience in sales by briefing my operations orders and explaining how the benefits outweigh the negatives.
Currently work as a unarmed security officer in a indoor mall. Responsibilities include patrolling by foot and by security vehicle, first aid, liaison between police, fire, and emergency services, report writing, and site code of conduct and law enforcement. My training includes first aid, CPR/AED, handcuffing, and OC spray. I am also required to participate in customer service and promote a professional image of the mall.
Worked as a forklift operator and had shipping and receiving responsibilities. These duties included noting the arrival of deliveries and unloading them from the truck with a forklift, checking for delivery accuracy with the receipt, and packing pallets and loading them onto trucks for delivery. When needed, I delivered goods to sister locations and to costumer residences by company vehicle. I also participated in customer service, which involved problem solving and knowledge of all merchandise.
Interned at the Carpentersville, IL Police Department as part of my degree program at Western Illinois University. The internship was full time, 40 hours. I was required to write weekly reports to the internship coordinator and a paper detailing my experiences during the semester long internship. I participated in first and second shift ride a-longs where I responded to a wide range of calls. After each call I wrote a police report which was graded and critiqued by a supervisor. I earned a 4.0 GPA.
