Served on the planning committee for the annual US Poultry and Egg Feed Mill Management Seminar for the past 6 years
While at Wayne Farms in 2003 I took the delivery fleet which was comprised of mainly tandem trucks to all tractor trailer delivery.
In 2004 worked with contractors and vendors to increase the mill production by 20% by adding additional horsepower to the pellet mill, installing a new cooler, mixer and air system.
In 2011 replaced all ingredient bins above the mill while continuing to manufacture during construction.
Installed Beta Raven Batching program, pellet mill controls, micro-system and reworked entire liquid system during March of 2013.
Recently completed the installation of 240 tons of finished feed storage and presently in the process of installing scales at our receiving area along with a hydraulic truck probe.
Responsible for 30 employees, manufacturing, delivery, ingredient purchasing, employee safety, air & water state permitting, employee training, and preventive maintenance, etc.
Recently celebrated 8 years without a lost time accident at the feed mill and have went almost 2 years without a recordable incident.
Managed a feed mill comparable in size to the Wayne Farms mill above with primarily the same responsibilities and number of employees.
Rebuilt engines, transmissions and performed normal preventive maintenance on local and over the road equipment for approximately two years before becoming shop foreman. As the foreman I assigned task to the mechanics, scheduled PM's and purchased parts.
