  • Provide homework and tutoring assistance, enrichment and/or recreation activities to students in ways that measurably improve learning and social skills and raise their self-esteem and self-confidence.

  • Carry out the site’s weekly planned program of activities for students to develop and strengthen their academic and social skills.
  • Instruct students of various age groups including 1:1, and small or large group instruction in homework and tutoring, arts and crafts, recreation, etc.
  • Review program plans with the Site Coordinator, teachers who may be assigned to the program, and/or volunteers as appropriate, to ensure smooth implementation of academic and enrichment activities. As needed, select a variety of activities appropriate to students of various age groups and interests.
  • Supervise students at all time for safety including transition from academic to enrichment activities and external programs that impact children’s recreation, social and cultural activities.
  • Perform appropriately in situations, utilizing tact, initiative, and good judgment including those situations focusing on student discipline or with communicating with parents or other staff.
