My next assignment was Cole Elementary School where I was a Special Education Teacher for grades K-4. At Cole we had an enthusiastic team of teachers who were eager to deliver on hand lessons, constant communication, individualized education to students, and a positive environment for all students.
Following Cole Elementary, I taught at McMurray Middle School as a 5-8 Special Education Teacher where again we worked with students with special needs. Afterschool mentoring was taught to continue to allow students time for homework and additional tutoring. I taught here for five years and was asked to support with the opening of a new school in the MNPS district.
A former co-worker asked me transfer to the newly built Thomas Edison Elementary as a 5th grade Elementary School Teacher to support his staff.
There I was the team lead of 5th grade, principal designee, and held other lead positions and received quality educational training in the area of grading, academic skills, progress reporting, etc.
