About Me

All my life I have had a passion for animals. From hamsters and mice to dogs and cats (and fish), I have always felt that my calling is to work with animals. When I was in high school, I had the privilege of raising my first kitten, Owen. A few months later, I rescued two more kittens, Carter and Luna, from a farm in Columbus, NE. They had very minor health issues to treat when I brought them home. A few years later, I brought home Quincy, a two month old kitten. She was so malnourished and had several infections. I discovered then that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. Since then, I have rescued four other cats from the streets and found homes for them. Owen is now going to be 8, as well as Carter and Luna. Quincy will be 5 this year. I have plans to go back to school for a Veterinary Technician degree in the near future. I need to be in a place where I can be surrounded by people with the same passionate energy that I hold for my babies. I also hope that one day, I will have my very own rescue for stray and/or abandoned cats and any other animals that may need my love and care. You know those people that say that they didn't just save their pet, their pet saved them? I am one of those people.
