While working in the Fedex terminal for an independent contractor for Fedex, I became an experienced Dock Manager adept at problem solving, customer service and training hardworking, quality staff using an enthusiastic and supportive attitude.
I'm quite familiar with freight and shipping/receiving as well as stocking shelves, loading and unloading pallets, and any and all other items associated with tossing freight.
Promoted to Dock Manager after two months in the Assistant Dock Manager position.
Also While working for RFIC, I was unoffically given the task to oversee all the inventory coming in and going out of the Parhump, NV fire in the summer of 2012.
It was my responsibility to oversee the freight coming into and going out from the whole terminal. Other duties and tasks included assisting the other dock workers with the manual labor of loading and unloading packages as well as inspiring and uplifting both the drivers and other workers. My greatest success in this position came from leading by example and being someone my co-workers could look to for guidance.l
As a camp crew laborer, it was my duty to provide support and supplies to the firefighters who were on the mountain side fighting the fire. I became familiar with the paper work involving inventory (as most of the gear needed to be tracked). As a senior person on the crew, I took it upon myself to direct the flow of work as well as make sure everyone stayed motivated to do the work under very undesirable conditions.
