I worked as a dock attendant for the Burlington Vermont crossing where I collected tickets from passengers before boarding. I also assisted the dock master with ticket sales and overall dock maintenance. I worked in the Ferry Dock Marina in the times between Ferry boats where I assisted the Marina Crew in the transient dockage and fueling of privately owned boats.

I worked at the Ferry Dock Marina located at the Burlington Ferry Dock in Burlington Vermont. Here I was in charge of sales in fuel and transient dockage. I was in charge of other Marina Crew and Dock Attendants who helped me maintain a safe working environment in the sales of fuel and dockage. I was taught how to professionally interact with customers to help them get the best service that they required.

During these last few years of employment at the Lake Champlain Transportation Co. I have worked in various locations as needed by the main office. I have worked on-board the ferry boats as a deck hand where I was part of the crew that operated the Ferry to transport people across the lake. I collected and counted tickets and escorted pedestrians and vehicles on-board the boat to their safe, traveling location; I ensured safe travel by routine safety checks, cleaning and maintenance of the ramp and deck areas of the Ferry as well as sanitation of the bathrooms and passenger locations on-board.I also worked in various locations on shore which included the shop area in the Burlington location, the shipyard in Shelburne and as a runner for parts and supplies. With this I was able to do various jobs including routine maintenance to machinery and equipment and spaces; damage prevention including painting, grinding, repairs, and more; I also assisted in the preparation of the boats to be brought both into and out of the shipyard; I was also able to help the technicians on various projects involving the operation of the fleet of Ferry Boats. *I am currently not employed full time by the company but fill in as a spare when needed.

I worked as a Senior Bat Boy for the Vermont Lake Monsters Baseball Team where I worked with the General Manager and Clubhouse Manager to help prepare the clubhouses and dugouts for the games. I filled water jugs, did the laundry for uniforms and towels, prepared dugouts with water, towels, and other necessary equipment. I cleaned the clubhouses before and after the games and assisted the manager in whatever else needed to be done.

I worked as a seasonal UPS Driver Assistant during the holiday season. I worked alongside a UPS driver where I would run packages from the truck to the houses and businesses. This greatly reduced the work that the driver had to do so he was able to organize the truck and get the next packages ready.

I attended my first two years of my Marine Engineering Bachelors degree before leaving the academy. I have not completed my degree yet, however I plan to continue my shortly. At the academy, I was part of the Regiment of Midshipmen Training Staff where I was part of the training process of the incoming freshmen. I was also a Firefighting Teacher\'s assistant in the academy\'s marine Firefighter training program. I was also part of the Maine Maritime Academy\'s chapter of Alpha Phi Omega which is a national community service fraternity. As part of this fraternity, I took part in many community service functions including boy-scouts field trips, blood drives, community Easter egg hunts, and much more.

While at Champlain Valley Union High school I took part in many extra-curricular activities including Soccer, Baseball, Downhill Ski team, and Track and Field. For Track and Field, I made it to the state finals for Javelin throwing where I placed 6th in the state my first year and 3rd in state my second year. I also made it to the New England\'s Track meet for Javelin after placing 3rd in the state my senior year. I also took part in most of the shop and design classes where I was able to concentrate my time, focus, and interest to designing and building projects. I was part of the trike building team for CVU\'s annual trike race. I was also part of the Design TASC Team representing CVU in the University of Vermont\'s annual Design Challenge. In this challenge a group of students and myself worked to design ways to achieve a goal that the challenge set forth. My team won the challenges every year that we competed and were able to make innovative designs from parts and pieces we acquired to achieve the goal.
