I am very devoted to family values. Furthering family bonds and activities are a complete obsession of mine outside of work. As the oldest of 8 siblings I have a responsibility to keep them together and also show them the value in family. I love coordinating family reunions and photo events. Strategy gaming including chess, checkers, and virtual gaming on assorted consoles is also another hobby of mine. These games help to exercise the mind by requiring strategy knowledge and math skills. The use of computers and money together is a huge fascination because of its' sometimes complex nature, although the joy of it is that with computers and math you may always find a solution and that quest for a solution is what brings happiness to any job with them.
Lastly and strangely I enjoy birdwatching and can make many unmistakable bird sounds.
During my time with Ashley Furniture I along with my supervisor alternated a trip to Prattville,AL. The store was bought by the same owner of the store whom which I worked for. The previous owner had scammed a large majority of the city for millions of dollars and fled the country. As you may imagine this left the citizens of Prattville very distraught with no one to take their frustration out on. When I arrived at the store and began to train the staff that would now be working under our employment I was confronted by nearly every customer who had been scammed. Death threats, racial slurs, even immediate physical confrontation were a daily hazard and would be insurmountable to most individuals. I alone only with the help of my supervisors and other key staff by phone was able satisfy the angry customers as well as interest the customers enough to finance through our company and become returning customers. This experience alone showed I have what it takes to a part of a successful retail institution.
