For the majority of my adult life I hav worked in the Non-Profit sector related to human services and education. In this capacity I have developed the ability to relate to people from all over the world with varying social, economic and racial histories. I have the unique ability to understand and see trends in our society as well as a language of communication across a wide network of people. Working with college students for nearly two decades and relating to their parents, University Officials, University Alums, community constituents and organizations has given me a broad perspective and experience. As a child my maternal grandparents owned and operated the Samaritan Senior Living Center in Topeka, Kansas. I spent my entire childhood playing and working in this facility among elderly persons and those who assisted them. I was involved in everything from washing dishes, cleaning room, mowing the lawn, watching over residents and participating in social activities. My childhood was blessed with amazing memories, lessons and experiences. Between my adulthood career and my childhood upbringing I feel that I am well rounded and prepared to serve in a large variety of capacities in a significant number of areas. Beyond just these basic experiences I have been involved in Shoe sales, both men and women's high fashion dress, car sales, pizza delivery, as well as working along side my former Father-n-law as a finish carpenter. My hobbies, of which I have many, have included raising and breeding large breed reptiles, photography both shooting and editing, sailing, long distance gravel bike riding and woodworking. Breeding Reptiles, Photography and Woodworking I have done on a professional level wherein I was making significant income and had significant training. I have proven myself to be highly effective at inspiring people both individually and in group settings. I have a friendly and inviting demeanor and am comfortable in almost all situations. I have the unique ability to learn new things in a rapid fashion. I have extensive experience at leading teams of students, board members, supporters and funders and others through-out the world in diverse travel, learning and leadership opportunities. I have lead educational and work-service adventures in Mexico, Haiti, Guatemala, Bolivia, Peru, Philippines, Belize and various places through-out the United States.
