After 9 years in the field of merchandising I have decided to change my career path to one that reflects the degree I'm pursuing at SNHU. Not only does the direct care path reflect my educational path it also reflects a part of my own life. As the mother of a daughter diagnosed with Down Syndrome I hope to make a difference in other peoples lives as well.

Was on the Deans List my first 2 terms, although I did not continue at Kaplan, I still earned 6 credits towards my degree that have transferred over to SNHU.
As a DSP at The Moore Center I work with clients in a 1:3 ratio. I work closely with adults and elderly that have developmental and intellectual disabilities in our Community Living day program. I take clients into the community while assisting them with state goals and ADL's. I also assist with personal care for some of our wheelchair bound clients. I have formed great bonds with many of our clients and staff. At the Moore center I became MOAB 1 and 2 trained and was Medication Administration certified with the state of New Hampshire and took many e-learning courses. I also took a defensive driving course with the Moore Center as well.
