I have extensive experience in an office setting. Working in public relations as a Webmaster provided knowledge of journalism, as well as working with a group of peers to coordinate tasks. In this position, I kept a tidy desk area and kept paperwork and office supplies organized and available. I also became certified in Microsoft Office Powerpoint, Excel, and Word. As a Direct Support Professional and a STEM educator, I have sharpened my ability to communicate, as I often assist individuals that require a lot of tact to get through to. I am proficient with organizing paperwork and keeping logs of medication administration, daily notes, and staff in-and-out logs. I am able to write concise daily notes, and keep track of various records.
I enjoy working in an office setting, and even more so enjoy data entry. I like working with friendly peers, and always try to remain cooperative and polite. I am trainable and a quick learner, and have been able to adapt to several different work environments. I would rather view conflicts as a challenge than an argument: how can I efficiently diffuse this situation and efficiently resolve this issue?
