Reading and writing have been both my comforts throughout childhood and my passions for the future. I am incredibly interested in a job position with Reading Corps because I love and reside with the AmeriCorps goal of "helping others and meeting critical needs in the community." I am eager to find a place in your workforce in which I can both express my passion for activism and youth inspiration but also do work that pertains to my field of studies. This fall I will be a senior at the University of River Falls, and am perusing a major in Creative Writing and a double minor in Professional Writing and Literature. Throughout my educational experience so far I have made the deans-list every semester, studied abroad, and been a member of the Honor's Society. My position as a Direct Care Professional, has taught me interpersonal communication skills and compassion for helping people to be their best selves. As for community involvement I am passionate toward promoting inclusivity and equality, raising awareness toward societal issues, and lending support to needed causes. I am eager to be in contact with AmeriCorps to discuss further details. Thank you for your time and consideration!
