Works with staff in managing classrooms of two to eight students between three and four years of age during the absence of assigned teachers. Several of the children have special needs. Established positive relationships with students, parents, fellow teachers and administrators. Acceptes coaching from fellow teachers and administrators and immediately incorporates feedback. Redirect children to encourage safe, positive behaviors. Physically and verbally interacts with children throughout the day. Engages children with games and puzzles. Assists with maintaining daily records of individual activities, behaviors, meals and naps of the children.
Performs light clerical duties such as filing, data entry, counting money, and verify the route drivers sales for the day are in balance. Seasonally, am recruited to work in the bake shop decorating cookies, boxing orders, and other duties needed to complete customer orders.
In June, during the annual summer VBS Program at my church, I assist the kids with the arts and crafts projects. Additionally, help with snack and kitchen cleanup as well as set ups for the next day.
