For the past year I have been working for a great company, Trader Joes. I have learned a lot of personable, and interactive skills here and love the job I do and company I work for. Although that being said, I am looking to pursue something more active and involved, also more along the lines of the career path I wish to take in life. Before working at Trader Joes, I worked at Chipotle for a year while doing school. Both of these jobs are minimum skill work, and even though I enjoyed my time, and learned a lot they provide no experience towards what I wish to pursue, therefore I am currently in the process of become a volunteer for the Arizona conservation core program. I hope that experience helps me to gain knowledge, experience, and insight on the field I am trying to pursue and am willing to do whatever it takes to get there!

Crew MemberTrader Joes － Tucson, AzCurrently, I am still employed by Trader Joes. In my opinion, they are a great company to work for, with high integrity in products, philosophy, and care not only for the customers but employees as well. Through this job, I have learned much more responsibility, how to work better as a team; and how each individual affects one another as a team, also last but not least I learned how to interact with sincerity, and actively involve myself with the team as a leader. The company sets you up for success, teaching you leadership skills, genuine compassion, understanding for others, and how to really enjoy yourself while doing a good job at work. These skills I have acquired I shall bring with me and input on whatever path life takes me, and it makes me genuinely excited to see what else I have to learn in the process of creating my future. It has showed me that anything is achievable as long as you're willing to work for it, and show persistence in order to achieve your goals!

Crew MemberChipotle － Tucson, AzHere I started my beginning path to learning about what it was like to have a part time job working with people, and understanding the responsibility I held by doing so. With this job I just cooked and served food, alongside cleaning obligations, and learning the company's philosophy. It was minimal activity work, good for any, "new to work" individual. Through working here I created many great friendships, and lessons that will stick with me throughout my future endeavors.
GEDPima Community College － Tucson, Az, USAMany things have happened in my life when I was younger which created a struggle for me to maintain my focus in school. When I was a freshman in high school my mother got diagnosed with Graves Disease, and fibromyalgia. This being said, I would stay home from school often to help take care of her when she was having flare ups. Aware of the fact that it was interfering with my schooling, I decided it would be a better course of action to go and take my GED test in order to graduate on time, and still have the means to stay with my mother. I went and took the tests needed, and passed them all. Saying all of this, it doesn't mean my plan for school stops there. Now that I have successfully graduated, I plan on attending Pima to get my EMT medical certification, and then on move to get my paramedic certification. Through those jobs, I will have the financial stability to go to Northern Arizona University and get my degree in forestry. I have a plan with short term, and long term goals to continue my education, and knowing what it takes to get there I am willing to put forth the work and persistence to get to that point!
