I am a self starting, energetic person with management and team leadership experience. I am dedicated to learning and constantly growing both personally and professionally. I currently work for a moving company where I am in charge of managing crews, giving crew presentations, teaching techniques to new hires, and upholding the values of the company and myself. As part of my job I am required to be proficient in most major computer programs, IE: microsoft word, excel and quickbooks. As well as the software that the Unigroup corporation has implemented. I have exceptional communication and customer service skills which I believe to be some of my best strengths. I would excel in a career where I am held accountable for my responsibilities. I also seem to strive in an environment that requires me to constantly be learning new things and encountering new experiences and environments.
I believe that I am very versatile in that I handle a lot of responsibilities. Not only do I manage crews, I also work on them, estimate, and complete the necessary paperwork for their full completion.
One particular achievement that comes to mind is when I had to deliver someones household goods to their house in Port Orchard Washington. I showed up at residence with a crew I knew nothing about since I had just hired them 20 minutes prior. When we took the walk through of the house, I noticed that most of the house was still furnished. When I questioned where we were supposed to put their furniture, they told me that they wanted me to move out the current furniture and put theirs in its place. This was never in the agreement of the move, nor would I be paid for any of this extra labor. I was short on time and I needed to be in Canada the next day for another delivery. However, my belief in my values and my customer service well outweighed these issues. Without out complaining, we moved out the furniture from the house and loaded it into the garage, we then proceeded to unload the truck with their furniture into the house. The people were extremely pleased with me, and although physically exhausted, I too felt good about what I did. To this day I have not been compensated for this extra labor.
Established crews daily and weekly, trained new hires, completed move estimates, filed and completed all types of paperwork, loaded/unloaded furniture and equipment from trucks, cleaned toilets when necessary and made sure that I never became above any task that needed completion
I am currently enrolled in the University of Phoenix business school to obtain my degree in Business Management and marketing. First I will complete my Associate of Arts degree in Business Foundations and then I will move straight into my Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
