The overall responsibility of a Court Liaison Officer is to have skills, knowledge and professionalism to effectively communicate to the court and staff. As well as offer the programs available for rehabilitation of offenders in a clear objective manner. Services the felony and misdemeanor courts. Processes all documentation coming out of the courts in dealing with probationers. Files paperwork, processes warrants, obtains criminal history on defendants, processes pr bonds, occupational drivers licenses, communicates court policies to line staff and testifies when needed. Additionally, responsible for the Unable to locate caseload (UTL). Screens cases for acceptance, provides monthly stats, to include financial. Works closely with outside law enforcement agencies in trying to locate absconders. Collects UA's, BA's when needed.
Maintained Interstate Caseload, processed out-of-state and in-state transfers, processed Violation Reports, drafted Motions to Revoke on all cases. Worked closely with Texas Interstate Compact and provided training to officers within the Department on Interstate procedures and regulations.
Screened probationers for chemical dependency using the SASSI, scheduled drug and alcohol evaluations, SASSI certified
Prepares court docket; retrieves, organizes and prepares case files prior to submission to courts and hearings. Computes court costs and fees according to court dispositions and judgments. Attends court proceedings; participates with arraignments, jail pleas, dispositions, and judgments. Prepares requests, subpoenas and all other related legal documents. Prepares, files and maintains all civil, criminal and probate legal documentation for a specific court and judge. Files, sorts and close case files; performs data entry of files and other legal documentation into an automated data base.
As a shift manager, was in charge of running the entire store while on the shift. Have excellent organizational and managerial skills due to managing ten to fifteen employees. Made sure all employees were following the food safety procedures and completing all paperwork before the shift ends. As well as doing inventory of all the supplies, evaluating cash drawers, and also making bank deposits.
