  • Duties include assisting with scheduling RUG Categories for all patients to maximize their capabilities, work closely with staff to ensure completion of all minutes for each category, plan managed care patient treatment times appropriately.
  • Complete OT staff schedules to meet patient care time, provide daily patient treatments to meet patients established goals with utilization of core programs and modalities as established in the plan of care.  Establish a rapport with nursing staff to provide the best quality care for our patient.  Patient treatments to include therapeutic exercises, balance activities, self care activities, transfer training, adaptive equipment training, energy conservation techniques to maximize patients functional potential for a safe discharge. 
  • Complete patient screens to identify need for treatment. 
  •  Completion of daily billing and daily notes along with weekly progress notes and collaboration of patient progress with OT team member.  Work with therapy staff to produce optimal outcomes and length of stays, attend care conferences with staff and family and complete staff education.
