Accomplishments

  • Served as the primary event coordinator and fundraiser of the "Celebrating Contributions to Charlotte" March of Dimes honoree event in October 2013. This event exceeded revenue expectations, raising over $100,000 when the budgeted amount was only $36,000.
  • Generated over $110,000 in revenue from Family Teams alone for the 2014 March for Babies event.  This was a 20% increase year over year for Family Teams, making my Division #1 in the state in Family Teams revenue.
  • Event Coordinator for Winn-Dixie corporate giveaway that received thousands of entries and awarded a new pickup truck and bass boat with trailer. Negotiated every aspect of the event, including securing Bass Pro Shops and Gorton's Foods sponsorship to offset costs of the promotion.  Also coordinated all point of sale materials and all shipping logistics to each store.
  • Coordinated a "Meet and Greet" contest across 4 states for ALLTEL wireless.  Contest winners were given the chance to meet country music star Faith Hill.  Organized all in-store marketing materials and worked directly with Faith Hill's management company on logistics for the event.
  • Elected Commencement Speaker for my collegiate graduating class of over 4,000 members.

Community Director Curry College Milton, MA,
  • Organized all day of event logistics and coordinated nearly 180 corporate, family and school teams for the 2013, 2014 & 2015 March for Babies walks held in uptown Charlotte.  Also solicited and secured corporate sponsorships. 
  • This event attracts over 7,500 walkers each year, raising over $375,000 in 2013 and $450,000 in 2014 for the local chapter of the March of Dimes.
  • Increased total revenue of my Family Teams by nearly $20,000 in 2014, raising $110,000 in Family Teams alone for 2014.  This was up from $90,000 raised in 2013.
  • Established our first Family Teams Committee, comprised of 10 highly dedicated family team captains, all of which raise $1,000 or above for the walk each year.  
  • Planned and executed the first “Thank You” event for our 2014 March for Babies Corporate and Family Teams. The event was held at the Roush Racing Museum and was produced with a $0 budget. 
  • Managed corporate partnerships with Levine Children's Hospital, The Leon Levine Foundation, Duke Energy, Charlotte Mothers of Multiples, State Employees Credit Union, KMart, One Main Financial and AT&T.
  • Worked with day cares and high schools in the area to coordinate and facilitate fundraisers within their student body.
  • Worked directly with our media sponsor for the past three years, WSOC-TV, to coordinate all public service announcements and was the direct liaison with their on-air talent, Allison Latos, who was our celebrity spokesperson for the events.
  • Coordinated all logistics, invitations and email blasts for the March for Babies Corporate Kickoff Breakfasts in 2013, 2014 & 2015.
  • Served as the logistics and auction coordinator for the 2014 Signature Chef's Gala. 
  • Coordinated and organized events for 2014 Prematurity Awareness Day.  This included an on-court feature with the Charlotte Hornets and a cocktail reception at SouthPark Mall.
  • Served as the primary event coordinator and fundraiser of the "Celebrating Contributions to Charlotte" honoree event in November 2012 and October 2013.  This event exceeded revenue expectations in 2013, raising over $100,000 when the budgeted amount was only $36,000.

  • As a contract worker I served as the primary logistics coordinator for three "Walk for Lupus Now" events which took place over a four week period in Raleigh, Charlotte and Asheville, NC.
  • These duties covered everything from coordinating and securing food, equipment and prize donations all the way to recruiting and scheduling volunteers for each of the events.
  • Also physically helped to load and unload all supplies, set-up tents and rest stops and mark the walk routes in each city.
  • Served as primary contact for all volunteer questions about set-up on day of each event.
  • Assisted on final logistics coordination of the annual Mardi Gras Gala, including helping to design and print signage for the event, organizing supplies and set-up at the venue and serving as an organizational representative to all the event donors and attendees at the event.
  • Designed and created a number of marketing materials for each event, including Constant Contact e-blast and newsletters, thank you letters, request for donation letters, press releases and all email communication between vendors and donors for each event.

  • Bella Tunno is an infant & toddler Accessories Company with products sold in retailers and boutiques throughout the US, as well as in 13 countries internationally.  
  • While there, I developed and implemented all aspects of marketing for the company, ranging from designing full marketing campaigns from concept to implementation, creating and distributing press releases, event coordination, and creating Constant Contact email blasts.
  • Served as the face of the company on all social media outlets, including Facebook and Twitter.  Updated feeds on both sites on a daily basis.  Also coordinated a number of contests that ran on those pages.
  • Constantly researched and contacted potential online and print media partners for the company and coordinated huge liquidation sales with online retailers such as Zulily, Rue La La, Kidsteals and BabyHalfOff.
  • Served as one of the main coordinators of our huge "Posh with Purpose" charity event which took place in April 2011 at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC.  Appeared on two local television programs to promote the event and also worked with a number of public relations contacts throughout Charlotte to gain publicity for the event.  Bella Tunno ended up generating a $30,000 donation for the Charlotte Rescue Mission's Dove' Nest drug and alcohol rehabilitation program for women.

  • National professional services agency which seeks to find flexible job options for women in the workplace.
  • Planned and helped to execute Mom Corps' Coffee Club series across the nation, including the cities of Raleigh, Boston & Chicago.
  • Coordinated all aspects of these events, including finding the best location, negotiating the best BEO rates, menu selection, AV needs and finding national sponsors for gift bags for each event.  
  • Sold sponsorships and served as the primary event coordinator for Mom Corps' "Own Your Life" Conference events, which took place in Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA.  Secured a number of sponsorships for each event, as well as donations from nearly 40 local and national companies to complete gift bags for each event.  Also secured nearly $3000 worth of donations for each event, which were later raffled off to benefit a select charity in each city.
  • Primary event coordinator for Mom Corps' "Mommy Business" Pavilion at the Southern Women's Show in Raleigh, NC in Spring 2008.  Worked directly with the Southern Shows staff and our radio partner to coordinate Mom Corps' presence for the three-day event. Secured partners and presenters for the weekend, as well as coordinated a number of Coffee Club events which were presented by Mom Corps representatives.
