Coached and led 8 corps members during Tulsa National Summer Institute.
Developed strong relationships with corps members, by internalizing corps members strengths and appreciating their individual styles of teaching, through one-on-one feedback meetings, team building activities and classroom observations.
Determined differentiated support needed for improvement by analyzing trends in corps members practice to plan and facilitate various professional development and coaching sessions.
Instructional Leader, 07/2015 to Current Teach For America – Tulsa, Oklahoma
Planned and led over 30 professional
development sessions to support first and second year corps members regarding
instruction, social, political, and cultural consciousness, as well as
partnering with families and community members.
Utilized qualitative and
quantitative indicators to execute targeted professional development sessions
based on corps members' and students' needs.
Received top-rated facilitation survey results from corps
members that facilitator created a safe, welcoming space for learning and was
effective at leading group to session outcomes.

Led 9 corps members in small group discussions to foster meaningful connections to the community, advance critical-thinking, and self-reflection during weekly summer institute experiences.

Integrates backwards lesson planning and differentiates teaching strategies with visual, auditory and kinesthetic lessons to meet individual learners and learning challenges; utilizes whole group, small group, center rotations, teacher modeling and individualizes work time.

Supported students in achieving 113% of projected growth achieved in NWEA assessment and 115% of projected growth achievement in reading, significantly above national average 2015-2016.
Led students in gaining more than 2 years of reading growth and 86% proficiency of math standards in academic year 2013-2014.
Organized and designed a boys' mentorship program and curriculum to support at-risk students through leadership development, empowerment and community partnerships.

Delivered culturally responsive curriculum targeted to empower the whole child and through social action and civic engagement, nutrition, health and mental health.
Promoted and maintained positive classroom culture through student-led community circle discussions to strengthen scholars' appreciation of their unique cultures and promote awareness of self-identify.
Choreographed a step dance routine for scholars to perform during the closing ceremony celebration.
