At Acad Design and Automaton i started my apprenticeship as a CNC machinist through the New York State program. My duties included the following, interpret the job orders for type of material , quantity, and the blueprints for tolerances and dimensions. after doing this i would verify and set up to rough process material in vertical band saws, horizontal bar saws, bridgeport manual milling, hardige manual lathe. overall i would get the jobs orders in sequence based on due dates and work process, get the material all cleaned up or the more experienced operators to do their job easier , runs those jobs with them to learn how thy did them as well and do the finishing and finalization all the way to packing and delivery. here i worked on 3 CNC machines such as HASS, Mazak, and Hardige.
