I started as a painter for Thompson, building the nassac building. I found out how much the welders were making and soon after enrolled in the TCAT welding program. Over a few years i learned how to tie rebar and finish concrete with the civil hands. After i graduated welding school they let me take the test for structural welding and i passed. For the past year i have been welding and also doing the civil part of the job. Really anything they needed me to do.
I was a team leader assistant/ trainer. I ran 4-8 lines and trained people to applicate and operate enamel covered wire for transformers, air plane engines, and transformers . I worked there over all about 5 years. My job was a very precise job and my trouble shooting skills were applicable all of the time. Making enamel wire is a very precise job. I had to detect problems in the production very quickly and fix it in order to make perfect wire efficiently.
