My Personal Insight

Nelson Mandela once said that "If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart." My daily strive for many years now has been to slow down and listen to others in their own language, and not be so quick to respond in mine, to take time and talk to them in their way and allow them to use their voice, express their thoughts, and to be themselves. They find hope, courage, happiness in their heart, and each day they start advancing in so many areas of their learning, behavior, laughing more, and opening up to be everything amazing that they are meant to be. Ones own language can be misunderstood and quickly over spoken by another and that can damage a person in ways some could never understand. However, all it takes is time, attention, listening, and a little effort to speak the language of an individual who is needing it most at a certain time, place, or maybe even every single day, but speaking their language for a few seconds goes through their mind and into their heart that impacts them for the rest of their lives. "The highest result of education is tolerance." Helen Keller spoke very wise words and the truth she told. If you give any child or adult their voice, their eyes, hope, trust, and love through the trying times, rebellious times, the times they may have no self-esteem, hope, belief, or maybe they only see darkness, then you give one person something money can't buy. You gave them kind tolerance to learn, believe, have hope, and to trust. Not only would it or could it impact one's life, educate them on levels they never saw in view, it possibly could change their life, but also do you know that just maybe you could or have even saved a person's life. We each are uniquely and wonderfully made in God's way. If I serve one purpose in my life I pray I serve at least one person in everyway possible from understanding and talking in their language to having the quality of tolerance in abundance. To make a person smile, laugh, and to know that they are smart, and to feel as close to normal as normal can possibly be. My little brother is a blessing having him in my life made me a better version of myself and to see life through a wider, brighter, and special view. Autism, abuse, neglect, and every other different trial that could single one person out does not have to do so and crumble one, it can do so and allow ones light to shine the brightest. I want to spend my days helping other's find, believe in, and to shine their light bright!
