Shoptalk is a conference focused on business, technology and cultural transformation in retail. A venture-backed startup, Shoptalk was sold to Hyve Group for $145M in 2019.

  • Leadership. As one of four on the Shoptalk management team alongside the CEO, President and Chief Growth Officer, helped build Shoptalk from a four-person startup into the fastest-growing retail conference in history with an audience of over 8,000 attendees in just four years.
  • Storytelling. Lead a team of seven charged with telling the story of retail evolution by developing an agenda that addresses the most groundbreaking trends and technologies in the industry. Help create a new industry narrative by writing up sessions on 100+ transformative areas of retail and recruiting speakers to address topics such as culture and leadership, technology evolution and the role of purpose in business. Deliver an annual keynote at Shoptalk summarizing key demographic, societal and technology trends affecting shopping around the world.
  • Socially responsible initiatives. Following a five-year expansion of women leaders on the agenda, led the shift to a 100% female lineup of 300+ speakers for 2020, a first for any major industry event. Wrote a November 29, 2019 LinkedIn post announcing the initiative which garnered over 1,100 reactions and 140 comments, and became an Editor's Pick.
  • Branded content. Work with design, video and marketing teams to develop all branded content for Shoptalk, including creating educational video and visual content presented onsite at Shoptalk. As part of original content production, directed the filming of three separate 360° VR videos showcasing innovative global initiatives including 1) new robotics and automation technologies, 2) Alibaba's 11.11 event in China and 3) the startup landscape in Israel.
  • Editorial and marketing. Develop email and social media marketing campaigns to drive audience development for Shoptalk events. Oversee creative concepts, write marketing copy, draft and publish thought leadership pieces, and act as company editor for all marketing collateral. Write corporate press releases for all content-related announcements.
  • Community building. Help create an entirely new community in retail, bringing together retailers, brands, technology companies, investors, real estate developers and more. Worked closely with our India-based technology team to build a sophisticated platform to support Tabletalks, a new roundtable offering that groups conference attendees based on a series of attributes for in-depth conversations on industry challenges.
