Of all the courses I had taken, the science classes were the ones that appealed the most to me. The fact that science tells the story of life and the process that makes it happen has always made me thirst for this knowledge to learn about life's complexities. I was actually a lucky student to get suggested by my professor to work in the chemistry laboratory as a lab technician. This golden chance has brought me closer to many of my professors, which allows me to learn from their huge experiences. Also, I found myself loving working with chemicals. I decided to be a chemist. Also, I used to devote some volunteer hours to help my class mates with their math homeworks. I really enjoyed that and found myself love being a math teacher.
Four years ago, I wasn't even able to write, read and speak a short paragraph in English. Since I strongly believe that my hard work always pays off, I devoted days and nights in studying for my ESL courses at Passaic County Community College. Consequently, I was able to learn the language in only one year. After that I started taking college level classes, and I was always among the best students in those classes. In all my science and math classes I have got A . Also, I am a member in the international honor society Phi Theta Kappa and in the Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society. At the end of this semester, I will get my Associate Degree with a 3.94 overall Gpa.
Working as a lab assistant has made me closer to different professors and students. Many times students thought that I were a tutor and came for help with their homeworks. Since I have always wished to be a tutor, I helped them.
