My name Is Ashley Bissonnette; and I am currently a senior and UMASS Boston majoring in Criminal Justice.
I started working at Iparty in 2007, my first role was as a cashier. This was my first job in highschool. I had to manage my school work, sports and my job. As a cashier, I learned how to handle cash and service customers. I will still periodically work the cash register when needed. I was eventually moved to a “party pro” where I was responsible for stocking shelves, cleaning the store and assist customers. In 2008 I was made head cashier. My additional responsibilities included handling returns and getting cash for other cashiers. In 2011 I was moved to receiving. I had to physically receive daily shipments every morning. I would record each delivery PO number and various paper work into our computer system. If there were any discrepancies I would contact my manager or corporate office along with our Vendors. I would take note of any product that was damaged or needed. Once the paper work was posted and filed, I would hand inspect each box and count each item with our RF gun. Once received and filed I would organize all the product in our storage area so that product was easy to move to the store front. In 2013 Iparty was bought by Party city. During this transition, I worked overnights to help change the store over to Party City. After this experience I was sent to multiple stores to help build and organize new stores to the company.
