Researched and implemented Mitchell Community College's first point-of-sale inventory management system in the Bookstore. Created the business procedures and office policies to go along with this transition. To this day we have upgraded and moved to our third point-of-sale inventory system.
Have served on our several committees on Mitchell Community College's campus - (Examples: Hiring Committees, Administrative Council, College Council and Co-Chaired Diversity Task Force).
Very active in both state & national bookstore associations: have held positions in the College Stores Association of North Carolina of Trustee (4 yrs), Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, President, and Past President of our state association for a total of 9 years. We have around 200 counting both vendor and store members. I have served on several committees for the National Association of College Stores (Small Stores Committee).

Managing all aspects of Mitchell Community College's Institutional Owned Bookstore, mailroom and vending operations. Working closely with faculty on adopting, ordering and returning textbooks for each semester. Handling customer service issues and etc. When I was asked to take over the position of Bookstore Manager in 1995, the Bookstore was losing an average of $40,000 a year. The Bookstore has been profitable every year since and currently shows profit in the $100,000 per year range. These profits are used for the benefit of our students.
