With no prior retail or management experience, I was promoted to assistant manager at Footprints, after just six weeks on the job. Also, I was in charge of merchandising decisions for the store. I was recognized for my initiative, my analytical skills and my integrity.

After starting as a cashier at Grant Central East Pizza, I was promoted to management, where I developed work schedules, determined and ordered inventory and handled cash deposits. I was recognized for my ability to work with people, solve problems and above all be trusted with business resources.

With minimal experience, I began as a server at the Glenwood, then was promoted to head server and eventually became part of management, establishing work schedules and handling cash reconciliation and deposits.

After several months of excellent performance at Barnes and Noble, I was requested to apply for a management position, but declined, because of my planned move to Texas.
