Performed reconnaissance operations in Afghanistan to continue providing base security during Operation Enduring Freedom. Logged and filed classified documents. Led an infantry team of 5 members in combat operations, including providing tactical guidance. Effective decision-maker in high-pressure environments. Maintained rifles, machine guns, mortars and hand grenades while in pre-deployment training and in country. Directed supporting fire to suppress enemy fire and allow troops to maneuver the area.

Successfully transmitted clear commands by radio to patrols and quick response force to specified locations.
