I have always been someone to put others before myself. That is why my current goal is to go into a profession that works with people to solve their problems. I will always act with integrity because I grew up with strong and good morals. I contain great people skills allowing me to communicate and work well with others. I have many logical and reasoning skills which allows me to think outside the box to come up with solutions. I am looking to gain an experience, internship or job within the computer world. I have taken multiple Computer Science and Cyber Security classes to help me towards my goal. I have also taken many business classes including: accounting, management, mathematics, and others to give me a variety of knowledge. I am in the process of learning another language to help others who do not speak English. I am a self motivating individual and will continue to work until the job is done correctly and effectively.
Worked in mixed abilities classrooms to help aid the teachers with their lesson plans. Worked within K-5 grade levels to drive social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development through age-appropriate enrichment activities. Monitored students in class, hallways and field trips to supervise, enforce rules and support lead teacher. Contributed to positive, educational setting by delivering gentle discipline and promoting student success. Cleaned and organized classrooms, materials, and supplies for maximum efficiency. This year taught students to perform class work using technology, such as IPads, tablets, and computers. Using this new technology would enhance education and motor skills.
We take care of people from a wide range of ages who have disabilities. We help them achieve goals that they need to do at home or around town. You can sign up to take them places besides their house, it teaches them people skills with social interaction. Similar to a nanny, we make sure they stay safe and on task for goals they need to finish through out the day. Used techniques such as positive reinforcement and behavior modeling with instill discipline in children.
I would go into different classes to help teachers with their more challenging students. Then I would work one-on-one with kids who need a little more time than the rest of the class. Assisted teachers with lesson preparation and curriculum implementation. Applied positive reinforcement for performance to redirect negative behaviors.
While in high school I participated in many groups and clubs, and received many awards.
I was in Student council and held a Student Body positions. I was a member in the National Honors Society and had to complete a minimum of 40 community service hours per year. I was also a Unified Partner for our students with disabilities at our school. I was selected to attend American Legion Auxiliary AZ Girls State my sophomore year. Throughout my high school career I earned many academic awards and many athletic awards for playing soccer. Some of these awards were within the school, within the city, and within the state. While participating in all these activities I kept my GPA higher than a 4.0.
I have more than one field of study, which include: Computer Science, Business Administration, Math, and Spanish. I also took some course leaning towards the Cyber Security field of study. I was on the Dean's List my first year of attendance. I've received the highest academic scholarship available every year I've been enrolled. I also receive an athletic scholarship each year from the Women's Soccer team. I was recruited my senior season of my high school soccer career and I've loved being apart of a team throughout my college career. I am also a member of our University's Spanish Club and am soon to be inducted in a National Collegiate Spanish Honor Society. I also volunteer multiple times with an adult group at the University called Friendship Fields. This group allows college aged adults with disabilities to experience a college life.
I was Student Body Secretary my senior year and was a Captain for Women's Varsity Soccer. I was a member in National Honors Society and had to complete a minimum of 40 community service hours. I was also a Unified Partner for our Flying Tigers, kids with disabilities participating in Special Olympics.
Received many scholarships within the University and outside. Made the Deans list my first year of college. Was recruited for the Women's Soccer team at Friends University. Joined our Spanish Club and I continuously volunteer at another club called Friendship Fields, a group of college aged students with disabilities.
