  • The International Resources Group – IRG was responsible for the re-electrification and re-commercialization of the energy sector in post war Liberia.
  • At IRG, I worked in three separate positions at different time interval until the end of the Organization's contract period in Liberia.
  • As an Expediter (1/15/2007-12/31/2007), I was responsible for the custodian of all office materials, purchasing and storage of equipments, running of errands in support of the organization's implementation of multiple pilot programs aimed at providing renewable energy options for both rural and urban sectors in Liberia.
  • As an Administrative Assistant (1/1/2008-4/4/2009), I was responsible for the followings:
  • Assisted the Operation Manager of IRG in personnel matters including but not limited to applications, employment, staff contract records and time sheets.
  • Liaised with government agencies for timely renewal of residence & re-entry permits for IRG/Liberia expatriate staff.
  • Maintained property inventory for all USAID supplied materials in IRG Liberia office, Expats residences and the Liberia Electricity Corporation. Distributed office supplies to staff in IRG office and LEC offices.
  • Ensured that office equipments were properly operated and maintained. Monitored the performance of equipment maintenance service contracts for photocopiers, computers and air conditioners.
  • Supervised grounds maintenance/maid. Ensured the cleanliness of office premises and expatriate staff residences. Ensured timely subscription of DSTv service to residences.
  • Arranged Hotel reservations for incoming expats when necessary. Arranged meeting/conference venues. Made arrangement for bookings and follow- ups on flight schedules with Airlines/travel Agencies.
  • Carried out bank transactions – deposits, withdrawals and collection of statements when necessary. Sent and received documents/materials through courier services.
  • Labeled/tagged and filed office's documents according to IRG BoQ & PO system. Performed other tasks as requested.

  • As Meter Billing & Collection (MBC) System Specialist assigned at Liberia Electricity Corporation (4/5/2009-6/30/2010), I worked at the Information Technology Department in support of the IRG's re-commercialization efforts in post war Liberia. The followings were my job descriptions:
  • Meter/Customer registration. Carried out meter reading, billed customers and subsequently delivered bills to premises where electricity is being provided by LEC on a monthly basis.
  • Supervised Commercial & Antitheft departments to do meter sequence and arrangement in a walk-order format in the field.
  • Duly monitored fuel oil procurement and onward distributions/deliveries at four LEC's power plant stations in Monrovia.
  • Received customers payment slips from various banks, reconciled them against bank reports and entered reconciled data on to the MBC system.
  • Supervised all IRG's vehicles and drivers assigned to LEC. Conducted routine checking on vehicles for maintenance, filled in checklists & driver log sheets and made timely recommendation for servicing when necessary. Monitored the usage and maintenance of IRG/USAID supplied materials to LEC. Performed other duties as requested.
