Hey guys, I'm Shelton and I currently work as an Assembly Technician for Assemblers Incorporated. I have been with the company for about three years now and I love what I do and I enjoy working with my hands in general. I assemble various products such as bicycles, grills, fitness equipment, deer stands, deer feeders, lawn mowers, wheel barrels, swing sets, arcade games I could go on and on. I am also a student at Lonestar College (Creekside Center) studying Electrical Technology, I have just finished my fourth semester with a cumulative GPA of 3.33. So far I have been awarded an Occupation Skills Certificate in Electrical Technology and am only one class away from getting a Level 1 Certificate, I have also obtained an Apprentice Electrical license in the state of Texas valid until 10/22/2021. I am well known for my strong attention to detail and my very strong work ethic, My current employer has shared photos of me and my work and also some parts of my story all over social media and the weekly newsletter multiple times. I am pretty used to the attention and appreciation as most of my employers has granted me multiple awards and employee of the month awards as well, I'm actually well known on a corporate level between Academy Sports + Outdoors and Assemblers Inc. But I am interested in starting a new line of work in a more rewarding field, something along the lines of Electrical, Networking, Telecommunications or even remain a Mechanical Technician but with a more reputable and higher paying company. I have worked on various things since I was a kid including bicycles, boats, four wheelers, dirt bikes, automotive vehicles, carpentry, welding (I spent three years of high school welding and still weld projects at home) and have recently taught myself automotive painting as well, I have learned a lot from my father since I spent a lot of time at Halliburton during the summers. My father designs and builds intelligent well completion tools that are mostly used for zone isolation throughout the wells and separating solids from fluids and controlling various fluctuating pressures from different zones throughout the well. He also used to teach me how to read mechanical blueprints of the tools he designs but I am only vaguely familiar with mechanical blueprints I am more proficient with electrical blueprints since that is what I am currently in school for. I hope this summary has provided you with some background of myself and potentially caught your attention and interest!
