I began my FAA career in Everett WA at Paine Field (PAE) as a VFR Tower controller. I was promoted to Non-Radar Approach Control and Tower at Medford, OR in 1986 and worked there for 13 years (therefore I am familiar with Erickson's local operations to some degree). When the FAA contracted Medford out, I transferred to Elmira-Corning Regional, ELM as a RADAR Approach/Tower Controller until retiring from the FAA in June 2008. Each position I held was progressively more complex and entailed the same job skills as described in my previous description.
I graduated from the University of Buffalo and intended to complete my masters degree before entering the field of Architectural Planning and Consulting with a specialization in planning related to dings (Hospitals, Prisons, etc.)
