As the Senior Administrative Officer for the highly successful $100 million Meningitis Vaccine Project (MVP) at PATH, helped achieve global health impact through the introduction of a new vaccine in the Meningitis Belt of Africa. I act as a senior advisor to the Project Director and am responsible for overseeing the administrative, financial, contractual, human resources, and logistical requirements of the project including the pharmaceutical, regulatory, clinical, vaccine introduction, and communications activities. I joined the MVP team in Ferney Voltaire, France in April 2006 coming from PATH's Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition Global Program in Seattle, where I had worked since 2000. Prior to joining PATH, I worked as a foreign service officer for the United States Agency for International Development, as a program officer and a project officer, first in Washington, DC, then in Egypt and Sri Lanka. My expertise lies in international development, strategic planning, project management, and financial stewardship. Previous positions include Rural Industrial Officer for Botswana, Executive Director of a shelter for battered women, and Director of a child abuse prevention agency. I am known for my excellent interpersonal and communication skills. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in economics and a Master's of Business Administration (MBA).

Responsible for the overall administrative activities of the $100 million Meningitis Vaccine Project and advises the MVP Director on policy, strategy, staffing, project planning and timelines, contractual, and financial matters related to MVP. Manage strategic, administrative, financial, logistical, and contractual, aspects of the project. Manage and coordinate all external project committee meetings such as the Project Management Committee and our Expert Panel of African scientists. Assist technical team leaders with strategic planning and staffing, ensure compliance with donor and organizational requirements, manage financial and regulatory aspects of donor relationships, and promote synergies and collaboration with other PATH projects. Oversee fundraising activities within MVP- managing, writing and coordinating proposals resulting in successful awards. Helped establish the Data Safety and Monitoring Boards for MVP trials and developed tracking systems for serious adverse events under MVP trials. Represent PATH externally to the World Health Organization and with MVP partners in India, Africa, Europe, and the United States. Directly supervise five staff members. As the senior administrator for the maternal and child health and nutrition (MCHN) program within PATH, oversaw all administrative aspects of the MCHN program and advised the MCHN Director on policy, strategy, contractual, and financial matters related to MCHN. Managed administrative, financial, logistical, human resources, and contractual aspects of complex projects: MEASURE Demographic Health Survey, DELIVER, Ultra Rice(TM), Partners for Health Reform Plus, Rational Pharmaceutical Management, Technology Solutions Sharps Disposal, and various nutrition projects. Assisted technical team leaders with strategic planning and staffing, ensured compliance with donor and organizational requirements, and managed financial and regulatory aspects of donor relationships. Represented PATH externally to donors and partners. Served as liaison to accounting and finance units of PATH and as annual budget coordinator for all MCHN projects. For three months in 2004 acted as the Interim Country Director in Hanoi for the PATH Vietnam office while a new director was being recruited.
