Received my H.S. diploma early in 2000 and went into an ROP Program immediately following where I earned a Front Office Medical Reception Certification. I was then fortunate enough to accept a full time position not long after. I have always believed in a job well done. Hard work and determination will always get you there. I have worked hard to be an asset for each project I have worked on. Through my 14 years now of administrative background I have done it all. From answering phones and filing, to new hires and also working directly under Presidents and Directors. I have worked in construction, civil engineering, manufacturing, medical, and telecommunications fields and have a vast selection of skill sets to pull from. I have found I enjoy a fast paced environment that offers a challenge and have been known to exceed limits set. I am empathetic and try to offer encouragement where I see needed, I try to lead by example as I believe in teamwork and the power it creates. I work hard to present a professional working experience with everyone.
A small manufacturing company, was brought on board to establish a working operating procedures to ensure efficiency for the company's overall success. I worked directly under the President to establish AP/AR procedures, invoicing and collections, I used Quickbooks as the office source for anything finance related. I was responsible for all New hire and HR tasks, I maintained a tracker of all new and past jobs and developed a filing system. I also assisted in marketing strategies, and ensuring smooth communication practices were exercised with the customer.
The Public Safety Department for County of Riverside (PSEC) had a contract to modify existing radio towers. I was brought on as Project Administrator on the Motorola side. I worked directly under the Project Director and his Project Managers. I was responsible for creating and scheduling project timelines and tracking milestones, financial reports to Corporate Finance, tracking, invoicing, insurance file and claims, AQMD generator permit applications, AQMD on site walks and/or write up corrections, construction liens, contract write up, purchase orders, Motorola used Clarity and Compass Databases which I became familiar with. As well as daily communication with our field techs and crews, vendors and the purchasing of any replacement inventory.
Multiple large-scale deployments for wireless carriers including Verizon, Sprint, and Metro PCS. I was hired Administrative Assistant and worked my way up to involvement to reporting directly to the Directors and Interdepartmental Management division. I often volunteered to cross train responsibilities in order to help keep our entire team productive.
My responsibilities included: Power Assistant; creating/maintaining trackers and milestones for each phase. Working directly with SCE and municipalities. Invoicing (AP and AR). Draw down accounts set up and new job set ups with Utility Companies. Check Ordering and Bonds were a huge part of my responsibility. Invoice coding, uploading/scanning/filing. Document compilation for closeout purposes to customer. I provided support for Managers and Directors in typing memos, making phone calls and scheduling. Assisted in ROW packages filed with cities and municipalities.Delegated authority to run time sensitive material containing proposals and red lines for sites. I was also asked to take responsibility of new administrative hires for the local project office.
First job out of high school hired as backup receptionist/file clerk and worked hard to move into Project Coordinator.
When I started I implemented and developed new set processes for an outdated filing system that ran smooth and efficiently. After a few months doing that was promoted to project coordinator for the Water Quality Department. Where I assisted in formatting the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) and Water Pollution Prevention Control Plans (WPCPs), as well as the assembly of the entire document.
Other duties were to assist project manager and team members with department financial, insurance ordering per job site, memos transmittals and letters, invoicing approvals. I also assisted in the design/review and assembly of all civil engineering proposals we submitted to each city or new bid.
Business Management Not Completed. All but 1 course for my AA degree in Business Management. As I was finishing up the school's accreditation changed. I was informed all of the credits I had earned were not transferable, as initially indicated. I was very discouraged and after quite a battle I did not finish up the degree with UOP, and have decided I will pursue my education in another manner.
Earned enough credits to graduate high school half of a year early Jan 2000.
Attended an ROP (Regional Occupational Program) in medical reception to help fulfill a full senior year. Earned a Front Office Medical Reception Certification, June 2000.
