While being a full time nurse student I managed to work a minimal of 36 hours weekly bartending to support my self as well as pay for school. In this time I developed a strong hard work ethic as well as amazing time management skills. I would accredit myself as a nursing student that is adept at delivering compassionate care to all patients with an excellent track record of meeting academic goals and excelling in clinical placements. As well as being compassionate while offering excellent clinical knowledge and judgment combined with strong documentation, vitals monitoring and problem-solving abilities. Along with excellent communication skills, time management skills, hard work ethic, and fast paced performance attained while bartending. In my time in the service industry I also developed the ability to work as a team player as well as a leader. I have a background in psychology from attending Florida State University where I completed course work in clinical psychology, social psychology, abnormal psychology, and child psychology. Although I did not complete my bachelors it has helped me not only with therapeutic communication but has given me a strong base of knowledge on human behavior. I enjoy working in a fast paced and challenging environment as well as seeking to attain new knowledge daily. As well as the qualities listed above I accredit myself to a strong love for helping people which goes back to early adolescence where I took it upon myself to start a program calling "Building Hope" at the Mental Health Centers of Ocala to provide children entering the foster care system with comfort items. My fast paced and hard work ethic combined with my knowledge and love for helping people would make me a strong addition to your hospital.
