Initial hiring of position described above. Left to enter medical orderly position, then returned to UNICOR before going back to my last employment position as an ICP Orderly. I was immediately released this year due to a change in law. It was a Federal Prison environment, where jobs constantly changed for a variety of reasons. Both times in A/R I was "special hire", based mostly on typing skills (25 or more wpm) and past clerical experience. Both FPI job positions was the same: Accounts Receivables. The duties above originated here, covering a 5-year span of business office experience within a factory setting.

Additional Information

Also in-house on the job training in Quality Assurance, after being a squad Leadman using various types of tools. Can operate drill and boring machines, as well as monitor Plastics Injection Molding machines. Learned to work with a team not only for the FPI, but in Army Air Defense, and took a tools course while serving our country. My primary job then was troubleshooting electronics for an air-defense missile system called the Chapperell, where I focused mostly on now-obsolete missile guidance systems. But after 4 decades my veteran status and obsolete training no longer permits my likelihood of finding such work.

Further EmpIoyment Incentives

As both a veteran and ex-felon, to hire me means employers can earn a tax credit of between $1,200 and $9,600 from the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), which is a state and federal tax credit for hiring individuals from eligible target groups with significant barriers to employment.

  • Also, the Federal Bonding Program guarantees the job honesty of job seekers to employers who want to hire them. The FBP was designed to reimburse the employer for any loss due to employee theft of money or property up to $5,000 during the first six months of a selected individual's term of employment.
