Summary
I am a highly motivated advisor, counselor, and educator seeking a position in academic support services or student affairs at a college or university. Innovative approaches and techniques created increased focus and retention of those "at- risk" in many of my work settings. My knowledge of and implementation of key concepts for success from a "football coach" perspective have encouraged the successes of 9 young men I have mentored who attained college level athletic scholarships and attended major universities. I am very effective in working with "troubled" youth which was consistently acknowledged by the public school administrative staff I have worked with. I have been particularly successful in helping "troubled youth" change their attitudes and re-engage in the educational process. As Dean of Students at Horizon Science Academy in the inner city of Dayton, Ohio I lead the efforts to create a bully-free culture at the school through a focus on education. I have been very successful in working with clients who are severely mentally ill.
