Review your calendar prior to talking with the hiring manager about scheduling the interview so that you know when you are available to set the in-person or phone meeting. If you referenced your availability for an interview in your cover letter, make sure you are available during those times.
During your discussion with the person scheduling the interview, share the timeframes when you are available rather than listing times when you have scheduling conflicts. Give the hiring manager multiple options for scheduling the interview. Ask whether any of those time slots are acceptable. If not, ask about the interviewer's availability and work towards finding a mutually acceptable option.
Depending on how the conversation proceeds, you may choose to share why you have scheduling constraints, particularly if they are due to a job or classes. Briefly explain the situation and why it is important for you to meet those obligations. If applicable, explain how your current obligations will be ending in the future.
