While your cover doesn't necessarily have to mention that an employer let you go from a certain position, you should refrain from hiding this information from a potential employer. If an employer brings it up in an interview or during other communications of any kind, you should be open and honest about what occurred.
If an employer asks about getting fired, focus on the positive of the situation. For example, you should always take responsibility for what happened and then emphasize that the situation gave you the opportunity to grow or fix certain things about your professional capabilities. You should also give the employer enough information to grasp what happened, but avoid dwelling on the situation for too long.
