Dear Mr. Harding,
It was great to learn that Company Name has an opening for a team manager for the basketball team. I recently relocated to the area and filled a similar role at the University of Michigan. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and played both high school and college basketball during my educational process.
While serving as U of M’s team manager I served as a liaison between the coach and the players. I traveled with the team to all away games and I never missed a game. During each game whether home or away I kept careful track of all of the players’ stats in a notebook which were then used by the coach and players for practice and game planning. I have a complete understanding of the game of basketball its rules and strategy. My interpersonal verbal and written communication skills are superb. I love helping young athletes develop and hone their skills.
As I believe I am a top candidate I hope Company Name will offer me the chance to serve in the Team Manager position. I have enclosed my resume for review as well as strong references. Please call or email to schedule an interview.
Sincerely,
Jamya Patrick
