Dear Mr. Snider,
I am writing in response to your advertisement for the Recording Engineer position you have open at Creative Sound Studios. I possess extensive knowledge of sound mixing and recording. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sound Engineering as well as five years of experience working as a Recording Engineer.
While working at Music Street Productions and Studio I manned all of the equipment during every recording session. It was my role to blend a keen musical ear with in-depth technical knowledge to select microphones and adjust settings to achieve the best possible recorded sound. I assisted recording artists with achieving the effects they desired while giving them performance suggestions to improve upon delivered sound quality. Besides pure technical abilities a very beneficial talent I possess to my job as a Recording Engineer is perfect pitch. I am able to cue into pitch problems immediately and to make suggestions on how a performer can address them. Using good communication skills helps me impart information to artists in a constructive manner.
I would make a great choice as your new Recording Engineer. I bring a strong love of music combined with the know-how to operate the equipment. Please call to arrange our interview.
Sincerely,
Madelynn Wilkinson
