Dear Dr. Harris,
I am submitting my resume in response to your job posting for a Dental Office Manager on the job bank page of the American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM) website. I’ve been a member of AADOM since my first job as a receptionist in a dentist’s office with the goal of becoming the office manager. I have an Associate’ Degree in Dental Assisting and have completed a Dental Office Management Certification program.
I am currently the office manager for a dental practice comprised of three dentists but am certain I’m qualified to manage a much larger practice. In the five years that I’ve been here I’ve streamlined the inventory control process and ensured that all front desk personnel are well versed in our dental insurance policies and procedures. I conduct performance reviews for all non-professional staff and provide mentoring when necessary. Since I have a degree in dental assisting I have a first-hand understanding of the demands of the job and I do my best to handle the administrative issues in the back office to avoid interruption of the activities in the clinic area.
Please feel free to call me at your earliest convenience. I’ll make myself available to suit your schedule. Thank you for your time and consideration.
