I’m writing in response to your letter of denial of unemployment in which you indicated I could appeal by providing additional information that may be significant.
I was employed as a Salon Coordinator at Company Name since its opening in September 2012.
By January of 2013, the owner and I had developed a personality conflict, and he suggested I look for another job while he looked for a replacement.
By February, he indicated that he wanted me to stay.
Throughout 2013 we lost four part-time receptionists, and during that very difficult time, I performed all my duties as Salon Coordinator while also covering the front desk and training new receptionists.
In December 2013, I received a $1000 performance bonus because of my hard work and long hours under difficult circumstances.
In January 2014, the owner decided that his fiance would be good at my job. He asked me to train her and said I would have three months to find another job.
After two weeks of training, he said he ‘didn’t want to drag this out, and he let me go.
I believe under the circumstances that I’m eligible for unemployment benefits.
