I would like to express my strong interest in the warehouse lead position. As an organized, skilled, self-directed, and with more than 10 yrs experience performing and continually improving general warehouse operations, I possess the knowledge and experience to allow me to contribute toward the success of your warehouse company.
My background includes successfully shipping and receiving, inspect goods, inventory, running induct 1 & 2, unloading trucks, loading trucks, picking and packing orders in departments, using forklifts and other operating machines. Also I'm willing to learn and very dependable. I would always express that I wanted trained in all areas possible, so I could work as a team and beat the deadlines that was thrown at us. I would always get done with my area and go to other areas that needed help to get done with the workload that we had every day. I would make sure that I was 100 percent accurate because that is very important to customers. My biggest thing is working as a team and safety in the environment that you work in.
I currently work in receiving. I work with the drivers that bring in our product and put them in a door so I can unload them. I make sure the BOL matches the product that is being delivered. Use pallet jack to transport from truck to loading dock. Maintained organized work area. Make sure to sign all paperwork that is required, then receive the product in. I create Asn's then use Rf gun to receive the product that needs to be received. Maintained organized work area. I also downstack product on the correct pallet and into staging areas as directed. I have also worked in bluepoint receiving and it's a little different then core receiving.
I assembled car parts on a line with a hourly quota, paperwork that need to be completed before shift and also after shift. Also did inspections on car parts and also made sure we had the correct label that was created for either boxes that we taped up or containers with the parts in them.
When I started at Build a bear I started out in induct 1. This area was for single and partial orders. I began my morning by collecting tickets and separating tickets by sku and then product brought to my station by pallet and then had to open boxes with a safety knife and then line up product by conveyor belt then scan the label with rf gun and label the box, throw on the conveyor belt. After workload was finished, then I completed all paperwork and computer work that needed to be finished after the workload was finished for the day. Then cleanup. I also trained employees and new hires in this department.
Induct 2: product would be brought to the area by pallet, would scan the label with rf gun. It would then be thrown on conveyor belt for the machine to label the box. When machine would run out of labels and ribbon I would
then put new labels and ribbon on. Also would clean the machine after every workload finished every day. Then would do all necessary computer and paperwork that had to be completed for the day, then did cleanup.
I also trained employees and new hires in this department.
Active: would pick and pack all orders on an everyday workload. Would use the rf gun to scan the ticket then would pick the order and then pack it.
Shipping/Receiving: Shipping you would scan boxes that came off the conveyor belt line with the rf gun and then put on the pallet to be built then they would take it and wrap it and put at the doors to be shipped to store.
Receiving would get the product off truck, stack on pallet, then placed over in area to be received in with rf gun and also with label on front and back of pallet. Then it would go to the put away in the racks.
Web orders: would go up to web to help when needed. Would stuff, pick orders, build, dress and ship the orders out.
I also was trained on forklifts, walkies, turrets, standup forklifts.
I also helped out in special projects and also did inventory.
I was also in the safety committee and involved in all the activities that build a bear had. I also trained other employees and new hires in the departments that they asked me.
