  • Picked all the parts needed to complete the cabinets needed for the orders using a pick note. I would work my way down the list and use my cart to get the right parts where they had to go.
  • The pieces I was handling were heavy so I made sure to use safe lifting strategies.
  • I carefully checked each piece for damage so that if there was any it could be repaired and refinished before being assembled.
  • I would meticulously cycle count
  • Restock the inventory though out the whole warehouse. I made myself learn where things belong in the warehouse so I could spend less time looking for things and get my work done quicker and better.
  • Reorganize and move certain things in the aisles back to the right place to make sure things were organized and correct.
  • Straighten everything up and clean the warehouse at the end of everyday
  • Started training in shipping and handling.
  • Break down and unload the shipments of crates while checking the inventory off the delivery list and separating the items onto different pallets so they could be put away easily. If anything was incorrect I would let my supervisor know.
  • Logged our specialty pieces into the system after carefully going over each piece, measuring and checking for damage to make sure they made correctly and will get labeled correctly and put on the right shelf. If we needed any of the specialty pieces for an order we were assembling I would put them to the side so the assembly supervisor could pick come get them.

  • Log into one of the scan guns and use a cart to stack boxes on.
  • Scan the label on the box. Then pick the needed items, scan them and place them neatly in the box.
  • Place the completed orders on the conveyor belt single file.
  • Get the boxes ready for picking by matching the right size box up to the label
  • Carefully stack them after going through the tape machine and place them on a skid while trying to keep pace with the machine. Once it was full I would wrap it and use a jack to drop them off with the pickers.

  • Got sent to various companies mainly in warehouse and production work for temporary employment.
  • FANELLIS WINDOWS-I worked on an extremely fast paced production line where I had to assemble and fold together little cardboard boxes so they were sturdy enough to keep their form and then swiftly place all the components inside and fold the top of the box down and line it at the front of my table. assemble and package as much of the product as possible and sending it up the line every time I completed 2 rows.
  • HOLLANDERS-This was another extremely fast paced warehouse to work at. I worked in the feather room where I had to spread the completed blankets and/or pillows across a luminescent table to quality check them before folding them tightly and thoughtfully to fit in their packaging and put in a container to be shipped out.
  • Learned to be a filler. I worked the machines that fed all the feather down into the blankets or pillows. I had to adjust the pressure in which it was blowing the feathers out so that they wouldn't be overfilled or too light and had to quickly and evenly move the tube through the blanket so the down would be even in between all stitching.
  • They also had me on the regular production lines where they made different types of pillows. I learned packing which was grab the pillows being thrown on your table and try to slip the necessary bag over it and it place it in the boxes used for shipping. Try to do that with about 6 more pillows and then fight with them to stay pushed down long enough to quickly tape the box shut and send it up the line. You have to do all this while trying to keep up with the machines filling and sowing the pillows before you get them so that you're line doesn't get backed up and have to stop running.
  • JELD-WEN-While working there they had me on the production line. I had to watch the pallets of material go down the line and I had to match the number on the pallets with the ones on my paperwork and make sure the right amount and types of material were on the skid.
  • RUSSEL STOVER-I mainly methodically stocked shelves and kept the store nice, neat and clean, and I also helped wrap and display different chocolates being made and sold. I helped think up and create different displays for the holidays.

  • Use an exacto knife to very carefully peel the pieces off the decal so that the decal is ready for the customer to apply it wherever it is needed.
  • Stack the decals right after they were printed so I had to be careful not to smudge them or get them stuck on each other while stacking them because some were still hot.
