What I can bring to the table is my vastness of jobs in my past that I have learned from I consider myself a jack of all trades. I am not scared of hard work laborious or mentally, nor a challenge. I am reliable and trustworthy, I also believe a person should always try to learn more everyday and do unto others as theyād have done unto them when possible.
As for my background I was raised working since I was 7 years old raising close to 300 racing greyhounds and assisting in breaking horses with my dad (Tim) and was in charge of a 14 yr old when my father was gone on the weekends(Grainfield, Ks). At the age of 10 I became the man of the house after a tractor/car accident. At the age of 11 I was working on my grandparents farm (Park/Hoxie,Ks) till the age of 14 when my mother moved me to Garden City, Ks where I went middle school (Holcomb,Ks) and concentrated on Vocational Agricultural.
Freshman year where I transferred to Garden City High school concentrating on welding and weight lifting while working for Gossmans trucking company on the weekends. I was changing semi tires and learned how to rebuild an engine to be able to have extra money for myself. I quit Gossmans my sophomore year after I didnāt receive a paycheck 2 weeks in a row.
My junior year I started working for Larry Goss on his farm helping with harvest, maintenance on vehicles/tractor and equipment, did a little bit of welding and he taught me how to reload ammunition.
After I finished my senior year I moved to Seattle, Wa in hopes of being able to save up money to get into Divers Institute of Technology for underwater welding. Unfortunately I wasnāt able to make that happen but in the process I worked at a temp agency where I replaced motors and brakes on Genie Lifts for a few months in North Bend. From there I was placed at Belmont Cabinet Factory where I worked on the cut line. Placing certain thicknesses and types of sheets of plywood on the table saw to be cut and pushed down the line be banded.
Approximately 6-8 months later I found a better paying job working at Foss Shipyard as a laborer where I assisted painters, welders, my main job was to go inside ballast or fuel tanks and clean them out and to assist in dry docking the ships so the bottoms could be cleaned or worked on.
From there I worked at evergreen tree care cutting down trees in people yard most of the time it was precision cutting next to houses, small yards where you would have to piece out a 100ft tree from the top to the bottom in 5 ft chunks. I did that until my foreman cut a branch without seeing me underneath it and it landed on my right elbow putting me out of work for a month. When I tried getting in contact with them to go back to work I was ignored until I filed for unemployment and I came back home and worked on my grandparents farm for a bit.
I left there and moved closer to my mom still in Garden City. Where I began working at a small gas station and began to work my way up quickly to where I was closing manager. Then I moved to Liberal, Ks and started working at National Beef as maintenance/ mechanic and my job host from there brings you to the present day.
I hope that this has given you an insight on my knowledge, experience, work ethics, and strengths. I want to thank you for reading all of this and hope I will make a great candidate for the open position I am applying for.
